HUBS down 22% pre market; Low Visibility & Headwinds

HubSpot faces near-term headwinds from weaker-than-expected user growth, declining net retention, and increased customer budget sensitivity that will persist through year-end. While the company positions itself in the attractive agentic AI market, visibility is severely reduced by cannibalization risk from AI product adoption and seat-based pricing erosion, making valuation vulnerable to further disappointment.

Long HUBS

I’ve invested $2m in SaaS stocks. This is why.

SaaS incumbents like Hubspot are undervalued after market overreaction to AI disruption. Established companies have elite teams, strong switching costs, and the resources to leverage AI to improve products and expand market share with existing customers. Organizational adoption of new tech stacks is slow, giving incumbents time to adapt.
